Is the valve cover supposed to look this burnt looking at 104,000 miles

I have 130k and mine is all golden, no brown.

Mine has ~87k and was still pretty bright and clean. Perhaps it's as simple as the previous owner just went too long between oil changes.

I sold that engine last April to another goblin builder, I went with the LDK with Z54 turbo from ZZP

Mine had 104,000 and if I could do it all over again I would have just kept that engine with the KO4 turbo, I have had nothing but aggravation with going with this new engine with the Z54 Turbo get one thing fixed then something else pops up .
