i put in a application for a decent place so just waiting to see if will hear anything, if I dont by end of July ill look somewhere else probably. Yea I know I'll probably need extra schooling for a decent pay but figured id try before going into major debt
Very high mileage and transmission needs some work that would be a few extra hundred, I have plenty of time I just needed to know if it was work to swap auto to manual to help cut searching some. Thank you and i will add these to the list of consideration
I am settling for a non ideal donor, a manual NA is not ideal but if it is cheaper to get a manual verses
auto then switch it to a manual then it is just common sense to go with the manual NA. I know I have a low income and there is not much to do about it besides wait now since I have applied...
Anyone know roughly how much it costs to change a automatic 2.2L cobalt to a manual? Not including shifter for the car and just the things to take it out and make it a manual when putting it into the Goblin. Just throwing some other around and doing some thinking
Yea weather is making the want for a Goblin so much worse and even more the thought of going places with my dad in that while he is on his motorcycle I miss riding a lot so the Goblin was as close as I could get.
As of much else besides a car to enjoy there isn't much else for me to do, just attempt at getting a better job and keep working as much as possible to afford the fun things
Yea, I guess just a dream sadly. Just miss enjoying the weather while on motorcycle and this was my way to enjoy it again just sucks that because of lack of schooling and luck I won't be able to enjoy my time
yea it would probably be a massive pain to get it going again, crate engine is the next option maybe, I'm pretty sure I just talked to linex and they quoted me 2k to coat the frame so I guess I wont be getting to do the goblin at all how I wanted to where it would last a long time and not look...
It comes with another transmission the person just had other things come up so they never got the time to do it, I'd bring my dad alone and he'd be able to tell me a decent bit plus a battery or jump pack to start the car if they let me if not I will no buy it no questions asked.
I found a ss/SC need new transmission and it comes with a used one person ran out of time and would like it gone ran good when parked and wants 2k for it should I go for it and replace the transmission and if I end up not being able to use it as a donor/ not get the kit in time and sell it and...
about the lowest I have been able to find even remote close to a decent running ss/sc has been 3,500 makes sense yet just seems expensive and copart one wont work with how many people will want that one. i guess I'm not sure. I'm at 1,860 saved up and been saving for it for roughly 2.5 months it...
after some thinking, I have decided that it might end up being better and cheaper for now to get a manual base goblin/cobalt and later on get a ZZP supercharger kit and a cobalt SC to put on it which would put me roughly at 1100 saying I bought a used SC. The one problem I am not fully certain...
one of the main reasons is I would like to have a manual transmission but the golf only has paddle shifters and I like the open frame vs closed frame, to me the V2 looks to much just like a over sized go kart really but maybe with future photos closer to launch I will get a better idea
