Well I have ordered new wheels and tires. I have wanted a set of these wheels for forever, the wheels are 17x9. I ended up getting the Kumho Ecsta V730's in 255/40r17

Thanks for the info, I'll go check out the article.
I know a larger (wider) tire is going to be harder to warm up, but I don't want to buy wheels right now(i need to buy a set for the drag car). Man it's rough have two hobbies..
Looking at the Toyo R888R. I am going to start autox this year(it's been closed down since 2021 here in the wiregrass region) so I hadn't thought much about tires.
I got to drive my Goblin a little yesterday, it's a turbo swap LSJ with most of the parts coming from the Saab 9-3. I'm pushing 16-17 PSI so maybe 220-230HP nothing crazy. I have 275/40 17s granted it is a 320 TW tire but, man it's so easy to spin up the rears. First is useless second wasn't...
Also have a shop vac running with the nozzle at the bit, and every 10 or so seconds remove the bit and let the shop vac clean up even when you start to brake through the block.
I hate to see this, I was just thinking about his project and how it was coming along. He was a good guy, and your right a talker for sure. He will be missed around here.
 RIP
