V1 Cam Position Sensor Issues

Hello can someone tell me exactly how to clock or reinstall the cam position sensor housing? The SS forums say line up the notches and #4 TDC and some say the LSJ is #1 TDC and notch at four o’clock?

I think when #4 cylinder is at top dead center, it will also have #1 at TDC too. That is the same thing. I'm not sure about the notch at 4 o'clock.

TDC is technically defined as the piston is at the top of the stroke on the compression cycle with the intake and exhaust valves both closed. If #1 is at TDC, then #4 is at the top of the exhaust stroke with exhaust valves open (or just closing) - not TDC, but 360 degrees out (from a 720 degree rotation for a 4 stroke engine).
