I was off work between Christmas and new years. So Thursday before new years, after dealing with Pennsylvania weather, I finished painting and clear coating my chassis # 490. The paint is Kirker , Bright Orange metallic. To me, It looks gold. I doctored up the clear coat with silver holographic metal flake. It's going to look great in the sun! and under gas station lights. So I started putting it together Friday the 29th of December. By Monday January 4th. I had the engine in it and on it's four wheels. Sense then I have been working on some hood modifications, braided hoses, designing a front wing and I am gathering up some material to create a custom engine cover.

Holy crap, Doug! Thats awesome! You must have a garage lol thats just my winter jealousy talking. Cant wait to see it this summer! There are like 7 goblins in PA now.

With how the passenger front brake line is routed, are you going to run into pulling the hose on full lock?

Comegetjoe My garage is packed and I have been struggling with the furnace in the below freezing temperatures!
The front hoses are pretty ridged. I don't think they will be a problem. I routed them so they were not in contact with my paint on the upper control arm. I have the left one taped out of the way, until I am done with my hood modifications.
I welded elongated slots where the hood would bolt to the dash area and mounted 20" lift supports from the tube under the "A" post to some fiber glassed brackets I have 10mm ball studs mounted on. When I release the two dzus buttons under the front of the hood they push the hood far enough forward in the elongated slots to clear the hood bracket and then lifts the hood far enough to get my fat head in there to see anything I need to. Like the proportioning valve, Battery , Brake Fluid.

That 4th photo really shows the sparkle in the paint well. I like all the extra bits you coated, like the axle hubs and all, that's a nice extra touch.
