Anyone have an image of how the front fenders mock up? Obviously they connect to move with the tire while turning, I'm just not seeing anything that looks right.
So what is the verdict on fenders - have them? yes or no? i.e. if we are building more of a street car vs a track car, do the fenders really cut down on rocks and little things sent into the air and landing on the passengers? Or are they more for aesthetics?
Some states--including my state of OK--will require fenders over each wheel for street usage. Also, it's probably a good idea anyways as really soft tires tend to collect and fling more rocks than normal ones.
From http://www.dfkitcar.com/forum/index.php?threads/wheels-tires-and-seats-list.521/post-6635 it looks like the fronts are 195 width tires. Ours are 205 width and the fender doesn't quite fit as well and the wide fenders look too wide. I guess we could cut the sides down by 1/2" - 3/4" to get them closer to the tire... Any other ideas? (these tires don't come in 195 width)
