Are there different styles of gas tanks that are shipped? Why does this one have a recess, mine does not.

Clearance for turbo pipe to the TB on the intake, using the Goblin intercooler that mounts on top of the engine. Maybe early ones were made without this?

It is clearance for the turbo pipes.

Thanks, I thought it might be model specific, mine is Super Charged.

I now might assume that is why they are now plastic?
