V1 Hacking the CANBUS/GM high speed LAN

This guy has some good videos explaining how he hacks CANBUS.
PART-1: I Reverse Engineer the OEM CAN BUS on my R8/Huracan Powertrain!
In this video he mentions the VW Golf MK4
PART-2: More CAN BUS Reverse Engineering on my R8/Huracan Powertrain!

He also is a fellow kit car builder, with a video log of his build.

Very interesting, ran into this thread and im surprised nobody had a comment.

Did you reserve engineer any codes for the cobalt?

I been looking for PIDs for the LSJ so I can use when I convert to a digital gauge. Im not an engineer or coding expert or novice at all. So trying to find a path that I can try.

Learning the LSJ Canbus is on my wish list.
A few years ago, I did code an Arduino to log the LSJ Canbus, but I learned that the Arduino isn't fast enough, and my log files were missing data.

Recently, I have acquired one of Blizzard25's Custom CAN gateway/converter which uses a faster ESP32 rather than the Arduino. Also got some custom software written by Blizzard25 that can log the activity on the Canbus.
I did connect a USB cord to his CAN gateway, but my laptop didn't recognize it as a new device, so I haven't figured out how to communicate with it yet. Probably something simple, but I need to spend some time, and figure it out.

Once I get it communicating, I can spend some time with the SavvyCAN software, and start hacking the LSJ Canbus.

Wow that would be amazing, wish I knew how because I would be on top of it. Im looking to go with a OneGauge system but I need some PIDs so I can make it work 100%. I like the OneGauge because I can also add external sensors, use two screens, tpms, accelometer etc.
