Hood Paint

Hey guys,

I am planning on painting the hood of the goblin and have not yet received the parts. I assume the hood is fiberglass but has it been prepped for paint and at what stage?

I don't have my stage 3 parts yet so I'm not the best person to answer, but I'm pretty sure that there is no prep work that will have been done with the fiberglass. I think it's pretty much right out of the mold or however they make them.

DF made a wise move and basically subcontracted that part to someone else. I've never worked with fiberglass, but I hear it's no fun.

My fiberglass parts are fairly smooth but I think they'd need a little prep work before painting.

It is as Brian stated it is rough out of the mold. I have seen far worse glass work. The hood will take some work to get it ready for paint. The engine cover is nicer and will not take as much work to prep for paint
