Houston SCCA Autocross

Finally got tire pressure I like. New Bridgestones are working well now. Might need more negative camber in the year.

That looks organized. Let know if I get this right:
It shows your number (82), and your opponent (67)
then you stage your car while the seconds count down.
Next the sportsman tree yellow lights lead to your green light,
and you get to see your reaction time. (0.771 and 0.702)

After your lap, the top of the trailer had 1989 and 37.412 I'm not sure what the 1989 is, but the 37.412 is your lap time?
The other lane had 2034 and 40.151 Your opponent got 40.151 seconds?

What tire pressures were you happy with on this race day?

correct. When the car in front of you leaves, you have 15 seconds to stage. You can do a burnout before you stage too (kind of cool). At 0 the buzzer beeps, then the tree drops.

My time was on the other side, I was the 40.151 and 2.0xx 60’ time. The 1989 is actually 1.989 60’ from the other guy.

yesterday afternoon I was happy with 10F/13R on tire pressure. I may drop 1/2# or more today and see what happens. We were in the mid 80s yesterday afternoon, now that front came in and we will only be in the 60s today.

I like the skinny wheel you got on there for trailering. How much do they cost? I load my goblin in a toy hauler and with 275s it is an exact fit between the fenders.

That is a factory spare tire from a cobalt. My buddy found it in a junk yard (Pick and pull type place). I think it was $25? Then another buddy looking for one for me got it free. :D Gotta be careful though I think that one is a 15” wheel, but some are 14” too. I’ll look tomorrow when I’m in the hangar on the sizes.

love the open concept toyhauler. You can really pack things in.

If we ain’t have’n autocross, let’s hit the track. ToxicBill and I ran with the Texas A&M sports car club again at MSRH. The day was all over the place. Started with rain, then dry and since it’s a Sunday, people left a little early giving us a free and clear track. No major shenanigans but there were a handful of offs. One was toxicbill. Which I caught on camera. The love bugs were a totally different story. They really make a mess.

Being a Sunday and most the people there were college kids (Texas A&M), the numbers started to drop as the day went on. That was our last session and we were the last group. There were only 4 of us on the track for that one. Clean and clear track is nice.

ya. They didn’t work well on the track. Not sure why.

You were so smooth... did you even use full throttle? Was the surface still wet and slippery, so you had to be extra easy on the throttle?

Rttoys
I was at full throttle here and there, but ramped into full, not stomped it. Shifting was hard. Looks like a burnt cable again. :( It was also “the last run”, I didn’t want to mess up a good day at the track. Plus a free open track is nice to concentrate on the track, than other cars.
