Sean, I'm afraid looking for a SS donor on the forum doesn't hold very good prospects since it would be rare occasion that one is not eagerly being stripped already to evolve into a Goblin. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I hope you are also actively looking on the auto sites like Copart and IAAI. Good luck.

Keep looking since cars come and go pretty quickly on the auction sites. The right one will come along it's a matter of time. I searched for several months before finding the right one on Copart - 500 miles away. Keep us informed of your search and occasionally add to this post as a reminder to the forum.

Was wondering about that. I plan to rebuild. But let's say I picked up a supercharged one, rebuild and strap and ZZP turbo kit to it. Would I order the df goblin turbo kit ? And would everything still match up or require fab work ?

I imagine you'd buy the turbo kit but I definitely would reach out to the DF guys on that.

Depends on what turbo kit you go with. The turbo kit comes with a W2A intercooler and piping for use with a turbo, whereas a SC model has it built into the intake manifold. If you do the complete turbo swap from zzp, they convert to a complete A2A setup so you wouldn’t use the intercooler that comes with the kit, or the muffler.

I have an SC donor and bought the SC kit even knowing I’m doing a turbo swap because I want to stick with the water to air intercooler and the SC kit is cheaper than the TC kit. I could have asked for the TC muffler and that would’ve worked (the entry turbo kit for the SC models uses a K04 turbo/upgrade and provides the LNF downpipe), but I’m gonna have a custom exhaust made (forgot who on here did that Pagani Huayra quad exhaust, but that’s what I’m going for).

I asked this very same question before I ordered my car and the reply I got from Adam at DF is to buy the kit that matches your donor. I also was advised by just about every Goblin owner that I should get used to the car before I started doing any performance upgrades. Base is quick, SC and TC even more so. I've had the chance to ride in two SC cars and one TC and I can tell you from experience that just a stock SC will be more than a handful and will still leave plenty of room for upgrading in the future when you're ready. The benefits of this car, being the open frame, is making upgrades much easier than a typical car. I too have the upgrade itch, but as I've been told time and time again, "You don't want to Brettit!".

Congrats! Now you have to let us know when you order your kit, and we'll pester you for updates the whole way through. I think one of the most critical items is the first time you see your chassis and think "it's so small!"
