Label Sheet Availability

I am still a year away from starting my actual build, but I am an organizer and preparation is key to my success at anything I attempt to do. Without it, I get excited, get started, and then fail to finish. I don't want the same fate on this project.

My goal is to create labels for things ahead of time. I am watching the videos and taking copious notes. My hope is to create a label sheet for each video of the disassembly with labels already printed for everything identified in the videos. This way I won't dive into things and forget to label stuff, or handwrite my labels and not be able to read them later!

I have looked all over for the wire label sheet mentioned in the wiring videos and can't find it anywhere. Can someone post a link? I want to create my label sheets using the same Avery Label sheet used for the wiring sheet.

THANKS!!

I bought the wiring kit from DF and am so glad I did. The wire extensions matched wire colors and pretty much everything is all there, so I didn't need to interrupt the work to run to the store. And the kit comes with the appropriate label sheet. I think the link to the sheets is on the YouTube page for the wiring videos, but since I didn't print them myself, I didn't look. For the rest of the tear down of the donor, I bought a label maker and printed labels as I went--I guess we'll see if I labeled enough when assembly begins!

Correct, if you watch the video where they use the labels, it is in the description of that video to download and print them.

That label sheet is only for the wires that need to get cut and extended to join the dash harness with the main harness. While you're taking apart your donor, you'll also want to make sure you label everything you unplug or cut. I just used tape and wrote on it with a marker.

Oh, Yes. I understand. I plan to tag everything as I go. However, I know myself. If I go into this saying to myself "I'll write labels as I go", I'll get working and forget to do labels. But, if I go into this with a sheet full of labels ready to be applied to tags I put on connectors as I remove them, everything will get tagged, because clearing that sheet of tags becomes the goal, not taking it all apart.

So, for me, preplanning as many tag labels as possible is vital to my success. I will prep all of my labels ahead of time.
