Ror. Not down here. Open range mature does would be around 100-120#. High fence, protein fed mature does max out about 130-140#. What I would call a normal doe you would shoot down here would be about 100#.
even a pretty good size buck will be 150-180 range. You are getting into some big trophy bucks at the 200+# range
if someone starts posting King Ranch pics of deer, that’s just a different ballgame all together.
Mule deer in the AZ high country which are typically larger than Whitetail deer - and we have Elk that are 600ish pounds to contend with too. Plus we have my local family, the Mogillon Monster, who don't mess around when it comes to messing up vehicles!
Unfortunately, I did find a little more damage that needed repaired.
Bronco started throwing a code after I fixed it, so I dug a little deeper and found that there's a "shutter/support" piece behind the grille that had a nice deer-skull-shaped hole punched in it, with one of the shutters damaged. I found the replacement part on eBay and didn't pay all that much for it, but, still more than one wants to pay of course. Regardless, it needed to be fixed since it was throwing a code.
Fixed it this morning, and since it was very fast/easy to fix, I still have the afternoon for football. Woo!
