New wiring harness coming out!! Plug and play.

Really bummed this never came through... I'm still in the planning stages and researching. I haven't even bought my donor or placed a deposit on a kit yet. This is one of the first things I searched for when I started researching after seeing goonsquad build one.

All very positive, but give yourself a chance! Heck everyone that starts building a Goblin kit takes a chance! You can do the wiring thinning! You have ample back up on this forum and as I mentioned to others in the past, you can communicate well with through the written word. Plus exchanging pictures is readily available. Time and patience are the main ingredients to Goblin wiring work.(That and actually having a donor.) Wiring can always be changed later to suit specific needs. BUT you've got to have a foundation to build off of.

It is just wiring! every wire goes somewhere(and many just go in the trash!). You are not going to eat this "Elephant" in one sitting! As Jean Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg(Movie bad guy) once said, "Ya Want something done Right, You've gotta do it Your Self!"

I plan to do the entire project from start to finish on my own with the forum's help and advice as much as needed. My plan is to only use the wiring harness from the donor really. The trans will be an F40, and I bought a LHU from FB Marketplace that I plan to have ZZP build and girdle for me.

I'll be using as many new parts as I possibly can, and what is used will be thoroughly cleaned and looking new. I plan to terrorize the local hellcats with it when it's all said and done.

I'm a little nervous about the LHU though, I didn't get a bill of sale when I bought it. I'm concerned I'll run into issues when I go to get it registered without a bill of sale.

How do you end up with 4 new transmissions!?! My wife got mad at me when I talked about buying another one (to make it 3 at my house) that had the 4.05 G/R LSD unit instead of using the 3.82 LSD unit my buddy is fixing. I couldn't convince her that I would sell the freshly rebuilt 3.82 LSD and current 3.82 Non-LSD and only have 1 at the end.

Even at new ebay prices, thats over $4k in F40 transmissions and at ZZP/OTTP LSD prices, thats $4k in LSDs, too. Hopefully you only need one F40 for your build.
What are you saying $2k shipped for exactly?

Ask for forgiveness not permission I guess lol. Was going to buy 10 and put the wavetracs in, cryo treat the gears ect and sell them for profit. Realization is I don’t have time to mess with it and I’m thankful I only bought the 4.

Depending on your inspector, the receipt from the overhaul at ZZP may substitute for a bill of sale...especially if the inspector "assumes :rolleyes:" you bought the whole thing from ZZP rebuilt..
