It’s really not a sequential shifter, it’s a sequential transmission. Unless you are just talking about some version of button shifting an automatic transmission.
The sequential transmission curiosity sent me on a internet search rabbit hole about a year ago. There were some universal ones for transverse engine setups. You'd probably have to have some kind of custom adapter plate to mount it to the ecotec and the transmissions i found were $12k to $15k. There might be a better solution but that's how far my initial research took me
Just buy a Goblin V2... the Golf DSG transmission is paddle shifted.
DCT Shifter Sequential E-shifter: Although this product is not specifically marketed for VW Golf DSG, it is a sequential shifter compatible with DSG transmissions among others. It could potentially be used for VW Golf DSG but would require additional installation and possibly modification to fit the specific vehicle.

I am referring to a sequential shifting transmission. I looked into a couple of kits but am concerned about how to have it mount and if the expense would be worth it.
No idea if it will fit, if you can get a bellhousing adapter for it, or what the halfshaft solution would be but this is one of the transverse transmissions that I found. It would be a cool addition to a goblin but I have a hunch that it would end up being a $20k project.
