Support for Brandon #220 (pisco)

Time for a serious update, sorry I've been avoiding this for too long now!
I'm typing one handed, still in the hospital but in my home town at least with doctors that I know.
My kidney function has returned and today I got my HD (dialysis) lines removed and have been on normal diet again! Avoiding kidney transplant is huge good news!
After the surgeries on my wrist and knee mobility has been a challenge, but i continue to fight through each setback as they come.
My next big jump is to get healthy enough to transfer to Madonna rehab facility to get back in shape enough to go home!
I got down to 155 from 192 lbs just from being sick in bed.

Awesome to actually "hear" your words again! Many of us just met you for the first time right before this all went down. Get better and make it a goal to come next year. Also still waiting for you to send the footage from push mtn lol.

And those of us who have never met you in person - but correspond through the forum - are very glad to hear from you and appreciate your reaching out with this update. Keep fighting, this will come to pass, and you will be back to normal (may be a 'new' normal) in time. We are all still praying for you and your family.

I met everyone at the gathering, far from my normal comfort zone but we all had something in common. I can tell you I'm so glad I did get to meet everyone and am thankful for a new and hopefully lasting group of friends.
as far as footage goes we found my Insta 360 last night but one memory card is still missing so hopefully that turns up at some point!

Welp I made it home
for about 24 hours...
I was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday the 11th and back in the ER on the 12th per recommendation of home health nurse, admitted and in surgery within 12hrs.
I'm back in ICU but this should be the last of it!
I had infection in my mitral valve and pacemaker wires, both of which detached and had to be removed.
gonna kick this thing eventually

Wow, that sounds scary! Glad this was caught and we are all hoping this can now be put behind you and you can start the road to recovery. Hang in there and remember we are all pulling for you! :D

Some good news today!
My INR dropped to 2.3 and the docs made a compromise agreeing to pull my temporary pacer leads this morning. At this point the only thing keeping me here past tomorrow would be bringing the INR back to therapeutic range of 2.5 to 3.5 which should happen in a day or two. There is also talk of leaving tomorrow knowing it will continue to rise as this is something I've delt with for years and has always been well managed.
I appreciate the support from everyone, and plan to stay in touch.

My car is for sale however I plan to attend the next Goblinfest as long as I'm welcome and mama approves. Maybe a v2 is in my future, I just have some reality to face in the mean time this turned into a really expensive vacation.

Update for anyone wondering.
I am home and without hoses tubes or wires hanging out of me. I still feel a bit out of it most of the time and it will take a year of more to heal joints and the feet.
Last week I drove the goblin home from where it was stored just before the temp dropped from 40 to a high of 2 with -7 overnight! I know it isn't the coldest ever but I don't think I could handle it. Windchill was intense even at 40 and if I wasn't traveling same direction as wind for the majority of the trip I doubt I would have made it without a warmup break. Traction was a major issue even "normal" driving was difficult to not accidentally spin. I will be cleaning it and hanging tarps from the ceiling of the garage as a photo booth.
