With weight reduction as a main goal for all of us, I ran across this very cool article on unsprung weight.

That article explains why we are concerned about running the gigantic Cobalt SS brakes. Those brakes would add a bunch of unsprung weight to a very light car that really doesn't need as much braking power as a fully loaded Cobalt SS.
