You are likely going to have to repin the brown in if you actually removed it. My wiring diagram shows it tying to a junction that connects it to BCM and the ignition switch. Yours might still be there and you just cut it at the junction. Repinning is easy on the x4 bcm connector, I completely removed the pins for most of the removed wires so I might have on can use. If not you can unpin it and extend and reinstall it.

Does it show it going to blue/grey BCM connector or the Multi-plug underneath? Bonus points if you can see what pin….

I have a different model than yours so I don’t know that it pins the same.
