F40 conversion kit

Jerry,
I see no answer to your question. To provide what I know from my research of the F40 and F35, the simple answer is no. These are 2 very different transmissions, having dissimilar internals. The F35 is a 2 shaft design having the 5 forward and reverse gears on adjoining shafts. The F40 is a 3 shaft design having the gears - no exactly sure which ones - split between 2 different shafts adjacent to the common shaft. The ZZP F40 conversion kit that may be at the heart of your question, is to install the F40 transmission in place of the F35 transmission in the Cobalt, HHR or other similar chassis.
I, myself, have been looking into the possibility of using the F40 transmission in the Goblin chassis. The only person I have found in the build forums who has tried this installation is KJP. I have sent him a request for additional information, but have not heard anything back yet. If you have anything additional, please share.
Thanks, Tim
