Parking brake sensor switch location?

Can someone tell me how this switch/plug connects to the parking brake handle assembly? My donor is an 06 SS/SC. I forgot how I took it off in my excitement to get things dismantled, and now can't figure out how it was connected (and apparently I cut the wire to it as well in said excitement, so I'll be reconnecting it to BCM J1, pin 14).

I've attached an image from AllData that didn't help me because I couldn't tell what part of the assembly it is showing.

There is a surprisingly little on Google about this plug, which suggests that it is probably very easy and obvious, and yet here I am asking for guidance.

Oddly, ours was melted. I don't have a picture of it, but it was just a blob of molten plastic. I didn't even know what it was. I can't help wonder if the PO tried to use it for a ground or something.
