HP Tuner?

After Goblin is built, I assume the CEL will be on due to trimming of the wire harness.
a) is there a way to eliminate the CEL codes with a tune?
b) can I tune myself?
c) will car still run before it gets tuned?

Yes to all (except 1) I believe there are a few codes that can't be turned off, but don't quote me on that.

Plenty of builders have tuned their goblins themselves. Plenty of knowledge to be had searching the forums as people have posts their charts and changes and how performance had changed.

It will run so long as it was running before disassembly and your harness was completed correctly.

If nothing else, there is a way to cut the trace to the LED in the back of the dash. I posted a photo of how to do it but can’t find it using my phone.

Ideally it’s better to turn off each of the items that will create a CEL using HP Tuners, but it sounds like your particular car isn’t supported.

I just put tape over the lights I didn't want to see. You can clear DTCs with any OBD2 reader, and there are certain codes (not all) that can be completely disabled with HPTuners and 2 credits to edit your VIN.

You can have a tuner edit this out for you, or get standard HPTuners and do it yourself, you don't really need Pro... both are about 4-500 bucks all in.

Thanks for the info. Gtstorey, is correct. I am currently looking for my donor now, and I am trying to get as much information as I can. As soon as I locate one I will be ordering my kit. Can’t Wait!!

My easy way to “delete” the abs, srs and such lights. The cel can be “deleted“via hp tuners on some vehicles.
