Hot day, and the car was heated soaked, but I'm pretty happy with that result!

Took it to the fall Thunder on the Strip. No prep 1/8th mile for the uninitiated. I made a makeshift ice tank and threw on Mickey Thompson slicks for the first time. They HOOK! I took off 0.6s and I let off early 3/4 of the way down because they make the car unstable at speed. Went from a 7.88 @ 101 this spring to a 7.24 @ 86. I think I had more time to dial it in (and my line lock worked) I could have gotten close to the 6s. Another fun day in Gladwin!

More details on ice tank and line lock to come.

I made this all of 4" PVC. I used a vent cap and ground down the edge so it could fit inside the pipe. It prevented ice chunks from getting fed into the pump.

Left is V2, right is the (leaky) V1. V2 is better, but the tank feed should have been higher up. The pump feed is in the bottom, and has a side exit to drain between runs.

Overall, I'm happy with it. This spring it was equally hot in Gladwin and IAT2s were 150F at the end of the lat run. This time they were only 135F. This is without the fans being on because they would actually melt the ice faster. I'm very interested to see how well it works with just coolant on a regular day. The added ~1.5 gallons should help prevent heat soak.

Not sure where you will end up with your LSJ setup, but the Goblin could put its power down (weight is over the rear wheels) - excuses of tire spin for the trucks, Mustang and Camaro - yup, sure.

Question: no center bar in the halo? Many of us added this, is a good handle to help get in and out of the full frame.

I've thought about it. I might add it. It didn't come with what DF sent me. I have to go to the metal shop for material for a higher harness bar. Might just order something for that too. Not sure yet. I'm just trying to get it more legal for track use ASAP. I will add that later if I deem it necessary. That's the benefit of a black frame lol. I don't have to paint match powdercoat. Just rustoleum gloss black rattle can and I'm good!

Welp, throwing this one at the forum because I'm confused as heck. So here we go...

I recently thru a Z54 turbo on the car. It was consuming oil. There was a bit of oil before and after the cold side of the turbo. I believed it was the LSJ's intake manifold PCV valve being blocked so I made a channel for it. I reinstalled everything and tried again. It ran fine, but I heard a gurgling in the intake. Shut it off. Oil dipstick read low again...bad sign. I took the turbo intake boot off. About two quarts just fell out of the turbo inlet. WTF.

At this point I'm thinking it has nothing to do with my PCV, and everything to do with the turbo drain. Its not kinked or anything, but the return bung is below the static oil level, slightly higher than the drain plug. When I blow into it, it bubbles, so I assume the return port is below the static oil level.

I could get another pan and try again it put it higher, but maybe a scavenge pump is a good bandaide for now? (I hate taking off this stupid pan)
