V1 Side panels, on the inside?

I think Ive seen this done, but who here can show me the way to search for this or has pictures or a link to a build thread with them on the inside?
I love the exposed sides and don't want to hide the frame work if I can avoid it.

It’s been done and if I ever install mine, they will be on the inside and cut down. I like the look of the frame too much to hide it.

Searching for something like that you’ll have to remember who did it and search them. And I don’t remember who did it. :facepalm:

Starting my build log. Didn't plan on buying the kit till later this year or early next year but with the Motorhead Garage spot I didn't want to get behind a big back log, so I ordered my kit on 10/7.

Picked up my donor car on 9/22, thanks to ctuinstra for the lead on the car.

First time I've towed with my gas Touareg, VW bought back my diesel one last year that I use to tow with all the time. Was pleasantly surprised with the gas engine, 19 mpg unloaded and 15.6 mpg with the car.

I did mine on the outside but did tinted lexan. Get both the exposed frame and the added space to put your feet.

DC's is a custom tab job, looks like the tabs are inset in the middle of the tubing.


How is the Lexan holding up? Did you heat it up to get the bends? Pics?
