V1 09 LNF runs really rough and rich.

C
I've got the car almost road ready. I need to dial it in and finish up a few things. Take a look at the pics and let me know if I have the vents and plumbing right. It runs very poorly, seems to straighten up a bit one it warms up, but it isn't healthy, and is very jerky in gear.

Any codes present? Did you make any changes since removing it from donor? Valve cover vent behind turbo should go to intake tube but I doubt that is your problem.

Any chance your MAF is installed backwards? O2 sensor connected properly? Might be worth checking for vacuum leaks too, although that's probably not going to make it run rich.

How do you know it's rich, does it smell like fuel? Or do you have a wideband gauge, or are you watching in HP Tuners?

I have a wideband coming in the mail today actually, but I can smell the unburned fuel. if I step on the gas it will stay running but not at idle until its warm. I checked the MAF its installed correct. only code are P0449 and P0452, on for evap voltage low and fuel tank pressure. I have a friend that has a HP interface and Im going to buy the credits to make tuning adjustments. I just haven't gotten there yet.

The LNF can be hard to tune for idle. Mine lopes along pretty good until it warms up.

Good luck with tuning the LNF beyond the standard MAF adjustment. It is totally different than about anything else out there and some of the "standard" ways of tuning don't work.

How did it run before you took your donor apart?
Did you change any sensors?
Was it set up for E85?
Do you have all four bolts installed in the intercooler?
Do you have the correct O2 sensor installed and plugged in?

As @Gtstorey alluded to, it's likely your fuel trims and you'll want to head on over to the LNF Tuning section with HPTuners in hand.

Unplug your evap sensor on the intake manifold and see if that changes anything - you'll only be using the short term fuel trims in this case and if it does change that's pretty indicative of fuel trims needing adjustment.
