2009 Cobalt SS turbo (SOLD)

I recently picked up a 09 turbo cobalt from a buddy. Needs clutch, fires right up. I drove it home however he said the clutch pedal sticks to the floor after minimal use.. this car sat out in the NM sun for the past 6 years that he owned the car so the paint is rough but it only has 75k on the odometer! It would be a great donor car for someone who’s looking to build a turbo manual build before DF moves on from this platform.. Message me if you’re interested.

Is this car still available and where are you located? I am just starting my Goblin journey and looking for a good donor. Do you think the clutch pedal issue is just a slave cylinder issue? And of course I have to ask if there is any wiggle room on that price?

Hey good morning! Yes the car is still available. My assumption is slave however I have done zero diagnostic on the car. The car has a check engine light on as well. Since driving it home I took it for a short spin and was unable to replicate the clutch pedal issue however the previous owner said it would happen every time he drove it. The car shifts through all gears smoothly and had great power. The car also comes with a handheld tuner from Hahn racecraft. It’s located in Carlsbad New Mexico price is always negotiable with serious buyers. Direct message me if you want more info. Thank you.

I REALLY do not want to diagnose the clutch in this thing and sell in another market when a goblin builder can dismantle the car and fix the issue clutch then. This car does run and drive as is.. I have no real use for another turbo cobalt.. This low mile desert car would make the perfect donor… I bought this car new in late 2008 (never raced it) ;) and sold to one of my good friends right before I learned about the goblin…he is not a car guy and drove it to work and home only never even re uploading the HAHN race raft tune in the car work 40ish HP. When the clutch started giving his issues he bought a new truck and sold it back to me.. The car now sits in my garage and I need my space back.. message if you’re interested..

Thanks Ark! I thought it was going to sell quickly at 3700. I am mostly to blame, if I put more effort in and posted videos of it running and driving maybe I would have had some better luck.. car pulls hard and shifts smooth! I also am not as active as I used to be on the forum. At this price I should just keep it for goblin parts!!! I just really want my garage space back!!! Thanks for the comment!

Hmmmmm.... My accountant would disown me if I brought something else home that has 4 wheels on it.

Come on folks - this is a desert car with minimal metal mites and it runs. This is the deal of the year for anyone living east of the Pecos who can only find rust buckets lately, for more $$$. Drive it, tow it or ship it home - you'll thank yourself when the teardown starts!

Have two potential buyers for the car at this time, with one seeming very promising! I just wanted to thank everyone on the forum for your posts for not only keeping the listing active but also assuring new builders that haven’t spent as much time on FB marketplace or Craigslist yet. While we all know what these cars go for from what we paid for donors/ parts to build our own goblins. I feel newer users on the forum read the enthusiastic posts from experienced forum users to help them to a decision and feel good about their choice. Hope it goes to a good home of a future goblin owner!

Christopher, I've been dying to get in contact with you but the administrator took three days to approve me as a member of the forum. I guess he/she is busy too LoL. Does the 2009 SS Cobalt have the G85 designation (limited slip differential) option? The Cobalt SS used a few manual tranny variations but the one I seek had a G85 designation somewhere on a sticker/plate (in the trunk I think it was?) It may be undercthe trunk carpet? The G85 designation may also have been somewhere on the transmission. Can you please tell me if your Cobalt has that LSD option? Thanks in advance for your reply.
