V1 Brake issue

So I have a weird issue with my brakes. I read lots of threads and checked some things. The issue im having is the the brakes get stuck randomly, and im not sure if its front or rear.

I'm suspecting it's the rear. Since when it gets stuck, I go to the rear, and I smell brake pads. It happened last week when I popped a couple of donuts and it got stuck. To I dropped the tear subframe snice i have to drop the pan to reseal it.so I decided to check the rear calipers when I took the caliber's out, I noticed that one rotor has a good half inch of rust like the pads are not touching. The other side is clean. It doesn't have a lip, it's just light surface rust.

I took the the calipers off and spun them in and no binding. Don't like the the way the outer spring is and also the design of the calipers suck.

What are my options?

Are those brake calipers the Solstice ones, with the integrated parking brake? I run them and haven't had any problems, so they don't suck for me. A brake hanging on is a problem... sounds like it is time to rebuild them. As far as the pad not touching the whole disk, is it that the pads are not bedded in, or is the caliper piston hanging up, and unable to squeeze the pads?

Yes it's the Solstice ones. They are spotless no rust less then 1500 miles. The piston goes in and out but I really not sure which corner or corners is the ones that get stuck. As for the pad not touching completely seems like the top portion is bit not the bottom.
