I only have the 3rd brake light wire going to ground on frame through a 6 ohm 50 watt resistor.

So, looking at the cruise control schematic, it shows a 1.6k ohm resistor in the steering wheel controls dotted line box going to ground on the blk/wh wire. Does that make any sense? I don't think that DF supplies this in the button panel harness. Just wondering if this could have any effect on the circuit. Is it possibly just a safety net to protect the inflatable restraint module in case of a voltage spike? Above my level of intelligence and understanding of electrical.

That 1.6K resistor is there to put a draw on the LED light... which only turns on when the cruise is on.
The dotted line indicates the physical connection to the 2 switches. When the cruise button is pressed, both the LED and the cruise buttons get 12V+.
The "inflatable restraint steering wheel module" in the diagram is kind of misleading.
It is the clock spring wires in the steering column. And yes, the SRS air bag is also in the steering wheel, but so are the cruise buttons, and the radio buttons going thru the clock spring. The SRS system isn't part of the cruise control system.

So although all of the cruise functions are displaying and actuating within the tech 2 unit I still cannot get the cruise to engage. One thing I have not been able to do is ohm out the actual readings of the switches. I kind of discount that because of being able to see all of the functions working on the tech 2. Pretty well lost on what to even look at. Possibly the tune has cruise wrote out of it? Not even sure how to see that as I'm pretty green on the HP tuners side of the deal.
Thanks for all the thought ad help. Any ideas I'm all ears at this point.

Ok so I removed battery positive and took the connectors off bcm. I received the following readings.
Pink wire (ignition power wire) to the gray wire (cruise function wire)
8,180 with cruise button on, OL with cruise button off.
2,870 with resume button depressed
1,263 with set button depressed

leading me to believe button functions and resistors are correct. Now what happens with everything plugged in and powered up is beyond my understanding but we would assume that it is functioning correctly. Verified ground and correct 12.43 volts on cruise power button is present. I’m wondering if the tune may have cruise disabled. Can I see that in HP tuners?

What OBDii codes does your car still have left?
To install the hood, did you have to cut off the top of the brake pedal, and remove the top brake switch used by cruise control, like I did on my LSJ?

Yes it did, did it work? That I don’t know.

LNF cars have a single brake switch so it does not affect hood. Hood is not been put on yet.
according to the tech 2 I have no DTC’s.

You are checking the BCM for codes in addition to the ECM?

And you do have codes they just aren't related to the cruise control? I'm pretty sure my tech2 always had codes on the Goblin.

The code that is from missing module is:
U2113 Lost communication with Radio
All others I was able to get rid of with HP Tuners

I did however figure out the issue which was:
In HP tuners I had the ABS code U0121 Disabled / I turned that to "MIL Off and store code" and the cruise works now.
Crazy how much time that took to figure out LOL!
Good News is that it is now fixed!

I don’t remember doing that on mine but it’s been a few years since I set mine up.

On second thought, I might not have messed with that code at all since don’t think it triggers a check engine light anyway.
