Let me know if you want to go drive TN backroads. I try to go every weekend that the weather cooperates. And my schedule can be pretty flexible with a couple of days notice.
Not a good argument about the Polaris, it's classified as a motorcycle, so the rules are different for safety requirements in almost every state. I wouldn't bring up the Slingshot if you catch some grief trying to get a Goblin licensed.
I wouldn't expect the registration to be a problem. The last vehicle I registered; I don't think they looked at period. And when they used to look at them, all they looked at was odometer and VIN number confirmation. Only problem I could see is if they have trouble because of how the existing title is done.
I went through an independent agency out of Montgomery for my insurance. Unfortunately, the agent I dealt with is no longer there.

What does the existing title say it is? Does it have any special designation? If it has something that doesn't match up with AL, that could cause a hiccup.
Anything with less than 3 wheels generally falls into the same category. The only way they can sell them as assembled vehicles without the safety equipment of cars. If Polaris could make a 4-wheel version, they would since it makes a lot more sense than 3 wheels.
