Interested in Buying a Goblin

I
I was interested in buying a Goblin but I just had a couple of questions as I am new to this:

1) Is there any significant differences in the Automatic Base/Sport donor, or the Supercharged/Turbocharged donors? (Performance or practicality wise? I won't be racing it it will most likely won't reach speeds above 100mph)

2) Am I able to purchase optional equipment for the Goblin after I purchase/assemble the kit itself?

3) If I select manual SS Turbocharged Donor but also select the 0% 'Just the Kit' build percentage, will I then have to find a Turbocharged Donor on my own?

4) What is the difference in 'Stripping the Donor parts' and 'Donor part preparation' in the 25% vs the 50% build percentage.

Thanks

Adam
1) The SS cars are definitely quicker but you won't be disappointed in the base model (especially if you aren't racing). Everyone that has ridden in the stock base model car we have at the shop has been surprised. It doesn't take much power to make 1500 pounds fly. If you do eventually want more power, you can toss on a turbo or supercharger later. That's what I did on my car (I went with a supercharger).

2) You can buy the optional equipment afterwards. The main things we have to know up front are your frame type and length, door bar style and donor choice.

3) With the 0% kit, you do have to find a donor on your own.

4) Stripping the donor parts means that we will get all the necessary parts off of the donor. You'll receive these parts as they were when they came off the donor. Donor part preparation includes cleaning, painting and modifying the donor parts to be ready for assembly. This includes modifying the wiring harness.

PS. If you are anywhere near Dallas, TX, you should come by to ride in the demo car.

I'll vouch for being shocked at the performance of the n/a car. I'm use to farly quick cars (i owned a modified G8 and a Monte Carlo SS with a 90s LT4 ) and i couldn't believe how hard it pulled.

At the "Drag strip" last night, I was able to pull away on a 650hp/780tq diesel single cab truck with my SS/SC car. Boy that was fun.

Just warning it's a long post sorry

So I been doing a little research on the goblin and I'm hooked. I live in NJ the state which is probably one of the hardest states for anything to do with motor vehicle. I been on the phone with them for the last 2 weeks I finally got more or less a check list of what is required to pass inspection here. So I have a couple of questions also if any can help out I would appreciate it.

1. When you do the wiring harness do you keep the obd plug.

2. Will the goblin pass a Emissions test

3. So I'm thinking of going with the SS/TC manual are all the kinks straighting out like how to run the parking brake, and all the wiring ,etc

4. So NJ is required to have a full AS-1 GLASS windshield can you guys supply this or I've found a place that I can order a flat windshield to my specs , for the people who have seen the frame would I be able to make a flat windshield work on the track model .

5. Also does the frame have a vin# or any number to identify the frame do we get like a certificate of origin

6. Also since we have to remove the abs, airbags, etc when they plug in the obd tester would anything come up that might make me fail.

7. Will the brake failure indicator light still work

So for everyone who read everything thank you so much any help or suggestions i will appreciate it

1 Yes
2 Yes, you will need to buy a short catalytic converter or modify yours, possibly a few other things
5 You stamp the VIN somewhere on your frame (VIN is on the MCO) after painting or powder coating and yes, you get a certificate of origin
6 ABS and air bags are idiot lights that can be turned off by BCM or taped over if you dis-assemle the cluster
7 Yes, if you do not have ABS, otherwise you need to reprogram the BCM

I am not aware of anyone using a parking brake at this time. I would recommend reading Bar's build thread as he details installing a lot of the registration based items.
