kit weight

Determining the kit structure weight will help the builder to target a power to weight ratio and determine which donor motor's power is and the types of materials and parts should be used to achieve performance preferences. I have not found this information posted here.
Can anyone tell me?

Not 100% sure but I believe the frame itself weighs in the 400lb range? and the completed kit is around 1,500lbs...

The kit with the 155hp stock cobalt drive train is 1450 lbs. The turbo motor stock in the vehicle has about 6 lbs per HP. I see crate engines with 350 HP for sale. This is well under 5 lbs per hp. The great thing is the car hooks up as the engine weight is just forward of the drive wheels. I drove two of them and they are quick in stock form. There are a number of turbo models under construction now.
