V1 Out of storage and won’t start… ideas?

MisterDave
That didn’t last long… it’s back. Tried to do everything I did last time and no difference. Plan forward is just to check and recheck every wire connection.

I wish I had time to work on this…. Just frustrated and too much going on. I think I need to find a shop or someone who can help me figure this out. Some days I think I found the right connection by cleaning or reseating plugs…. It will start, sometimes will run and warm up but then dies soon after regular idle.
some codes that don’t look right to me:
P0452-00. Fuel tank pressure sensor circuit low voltage
U2125-00. Lost communication with telematics unit

This problem has got me feeling dumb. Hate to say it but it’s brought about conversations of selling it…. But I really don‘t want to. Whelp, for now I’ll keep searching for the issue and trying to find someone who can help.

This doesn't sound electrical because you can start and get to idle. Fuel in the tank? Monitor fuel pressure - does it pump up when cranking and fall off once running? Are all vacuum hoses intact, not cracked - and all ports plugged or something plugged in? Possibly a gasket (intake, throttle body) leaking? Just trying to think of things to check.

A fave here in the south after storage is mud dauber's nest in the fuel tank vent tube, causes fuel tank pressure to go vac and can't deliver fuel. Try to start and run with the fuel cap off. Bugs just naturally cause the oddest bugs.

Without reading all of this thread, are you doing the basic troubleshooting? Have you checked fuel pressure? Have you put a live data scanner on it when acting up? Anything we give you based upon the most recent symptoms will be wild guesses only.

If it is acting up more than its running, you will have to determine what it's not getting that it needs, fuel, air, or spark? Does it just die suddenly or does it run badly and then die.

Here’s some videos, you can see why i think it’s electrical. Sometimes I adjust something or clean something and I think i found the problem and then the next day it’s back to this.

What is the clicking sound?

Even if you know it's electric, we can still only guess what it might be without more data to work with. At some point you will have to do systematic check to figure it out. Or again, hook it to something that records live data.

I had similar issues and checked all connections, pulled all the plugs, confirmed grounds and continuity and everything checked out. What it turned out to be was that the pins in the BCM connector at the footrest were loose so it would not always make a strong connection. Went to a local junkyard to pull pigtail plugs to the BCM and repined the loose wires that were the network (brown and brown/bk stripe). If no junkyards are close, you could take one of the thinned and cut lines and reposition it in the plug to switch out the loose ones found. After doing this, I have not had a gremlin since, (knock on wood).

Thank you, that gives me a little hope…. Will I be able to see which pins are loose or failing? I’ve never repined wires, is it pretty straight forward? Is there a need for any special tools?

Your’s doesn’t have that click? Mine always clicked at the start and stop of the fuel priming before I start it. The amount of clicking in the video is the fuel priming turning on and off. It coincides with the fuel gauge dropping, check engine light and power steering warning.

Start with tracking down exactly is clicking that loudly. There are relays on mine that click, but nothing like that. That sounds like a starter solenoid clicking on a dead battery. Unless you have the phone laying on the fuse box.
