V1 TC Calipers

In a 50/50 scenario I'm wrong 80% of the time. Just to make sure the caliper brackets with the shaved off ear go on the rear of the car, correct? I'm assuming this has something to do with the smaller rotor size in the back?

With ear:

The one with the ear should go in the front.

Are the TC calipers different from the SC's?
All my calipers and brackets are the same.
All brackets having the "5433" number in the casting.
