V1 Thinning the dash harness

Hey guys about to dive into all this rewriting for the goblin, I’m watching the videos at the moment and see that the radio harness is cut and taken out. Has anyone kept it to use a radio in their goblin? Or is there another option? Any advice would be appreciated!

There is no reason why you couldn't keep the harness and run the factory unit. Those that have a radio, have chosen to run a small, more self contained unit.

In fact, I recommend you keep some items like the accessory plug so you can charge your phone. I kept my driving light circuit for future use. I almost kept the heated seats until Kaleb convinced me how dumb that is for us.

I kept the key hot and the battery hot from the radio just for add ons down the road.

If you car come with them like ours did, very easy. Just have to move over the heater pad to the new seat.
