Augh man c'mon, you're hurting my soul. The discs aren't bad but tapes ...... tapes wounded me so deeply as a teenager. I am still recovering.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the Android Auto/Apple Carplay meta today, assuming you just listen to music and not sports/talk radio. So convenient, so capable ... and a great application of the communication/social media machine we're all carrying in our pocket already anyway.

Jeremy, I'm just funning you! The hot ticket for car audio when I started driving was a Pioneer Supertuner and a box if eight tracks, with a pair of Pioneer 6x9s mounted in the rear deck. After about 3 years the Pioneer Supertuner II came out and I had to replace all of my eight tracks with cassettes. Those were the good old days!

Did it hang above or below your CB radio?

This is all great until you're in the boonies with no service :D

To be honest, I love the nostalgia of the tape and cd players. It just hits different. I gotta get it working though. It turns on but no sound. Gotta check the amp.

I load all my music on my phone so no worries about service.

Nostalgia's good. The jankiness of CD changers and the failure rate on cassette tapes have forever turned me away from those, though.

I think Russell needs to roadtrip up to PA and let Jeremy put an audio system into the new toy. ;) Would go a long ways to solidifying Jeremy's honorary membership into the Houston gang!
