The cotton candy goblin has been running well the last year. I completed a big step this weekend getting the side panels on. I bought them 2 years ago, but got discouraged by the poor fitment, so I put it off. I put my big boy pants on and got them to fit okay and had them wrapped.

I also cleaned it up quite a bit, which gives me more motivation to make improvements. Next, I'm going to upgrade the Headlights and hopefully get the DF shifter this year. If I do, I'll upgrade to the rear parking brake package that I've also had almost 2 years.

The final project for this year is to assemble a Heater for this fall. I think a heat exchanger with fan and solenoid valve plumbed in where the stock one was would work. Having the tunnel open would give me a great opportunity to run the hoses.

I completed a big step almost a year in the making today.

My biggest gripe with the Goblin always was the exhaust. It's loud, it sounds like a tractor, and it's not exactly eye candy.

Two years ago I found a single in dual out Vibrant muffler that seemed like it could be a good fit. I bought it over winter and last spring I started to mock it up in the car. I knew I wanted extra quiet, so I also paired this with a couple of resonators for an awesomely gaudy combination. This last week I finally had a local welder complete the assembly.

It sounds amazing! I still have yet to take it on a drive as I'm waiting on my wheels, but the harshness is totally gone. Completely transformed. More pictures attached. Will get sound clip when I can.

Also last year I did new headlights and the DF shifter. I wrapped the tunnel covers myself, which went really well and I think is a cool option vs frame color

I rounded out this winter with a vacuum regulator for the brake booster and the Saturn Vue variable assist steering. I'm really looking forward to these fine tuning adjustments that will improve the car for daily use.

I'm on the hunt for a 4.17 final drive transmission as the 3.63 I have now is going to be quite tall with my new tires.

Looks good.

Question: Why are you using a vac regulator on the booster? And which one are you using?

Vacuum booster regulator to reduce the sensitivity of the brakes. A few of us have done it. Makes it a lot less likely to lock the brakes.

This is what I used although I only paid about 1/2 on eBay.
SMC Vacuum Regulator: 3/8 in Vacuum Inlet Size, Tube, 240 lpm Max Flow Rate, IRV - Grainger
Ya, I had one similar on mine after switching to the Justin reed brakes, but took it off due to it being unpredictable at autocross. On the street it was fine, but at autocross it would be full assist, no assist or regulated assist at any given time. It was too hard to predict, so I ditched it. Hopefully his works better than mine.

being unpredictable at autocross.
I just had an autocross event yesterday and I get what you mean. It's almost as if the vacuum booster is a regulator itself and as you push on the pedal, it increases vacuum. When you have a lower input pressure, you have normal assist until you hit that level, then the assist doesn't increase anymore. I'm still deciding what to do, as I won't be autocrossing much, but the small amount of assist is enough on the street, so the regulator doesn't have much real purpose.
