Goblin Front Splitter Group buy

I'm on the fence but am very interested. I like the setup and that it's a happy middle of improving front down force while not being as large as a wing.

I'm considering adding my order for an intercooler version, I'll try to decide in the next day or 2. Probably going to just stay a consideration instead of buying, I'm pretty happy with how my goblin is currently.

You won’t regret it. I went with the intercooler cut out. I put a hood scoop on the bottom facing forwards and it works great

Yeah, I like the idea but I'll just save the cost for now. I've had plenty of other house/family costs pop up and don't want to sink money into my car unless it's needed.
I have the naca duct setup for my heat exchanger and it works nicely but wouldn't work too well if I hood scooped underneath.
Looking at my hood, I think I'd need to trim a small bit off since it protrudes farther to the ground than my frame does a small bit just in front of the control arms, not exactly looking to do that unless I want to rewrap my hood.

@talon2006 hey, I wheeled with yall at Katemcy in January of 2023 You and your Wife are good people! wheeling for a cause was a great event. We were the folks in the Tan Everglades. Just getting into this scene haven't even ordered a kit but already have the donor, have had it since new just needs a new life. as soon as I am at that point I will order a splitter.

I am Shaun, and I am the dude that has made those sweet splitters for all the Houston guys. The DXF is floating around here, and this is mostly an open source project. It has come that there might be interest in a group buy coming from the Michigan Group thread. I think we have 3 so far.

This splitter is made from 1/4" 5052 Aluminum, it will come bent and I will also run it through our Deburr machine. I have determined we can do this for 335 plus 35 shipping in the lower 48. It will need the mounting holes drilled and there is one area on the side that might need trimmed to clear the hood cowl. I believe in the Michigan thread another gentleman has gotten a quote >500 dollars to have this plate just cut, so I am trying to offer a good value for the DF community.

I do have a version that has the intercooler cutout, and a version that does not. Here are a few pictures of it from the other page. If you have any questions, or are interested post up in this thread.

Are these still available? I would prefer to buy one already made, if possible? I like the spoilers on these things, but don't at the same time. I've heard this is supposed to put some down-force on the front end to help with steering too? Someone let me know, I'd like to order one or whatever I have to do to get one?

See post 161 to order these.

Does anyone know if this splitter will interfere with front wheels/tires, dimensions 17x9 +30 OS, with 275/40's?

My 17x8 +42 wheels aren’t anywhere close to touching. I have 5 1/2 inches of space, but do have a 1” spacer up front. 4 1/2” of room to the splitter and your looking at 17x9 with +5mm offset. Throw in the rack limiter kit and you should be more than ok.
When you get your wheels we can link up and test fit them on my Goblin with the spacers off. Even if you get 5x110 wheel I think we can rig it up to test. Also, we can see if your wheels will even touch the upper control arm.

I just hate to order everything and when it shows up, something interferes with something else... I hope nothing does, but there's always that possibility... :(

True. There is going to be a bit of trial and error. You can try to plan it out the best you can but these are custom vehicles.

That was a joke! :D Unless you are running very tall tires with very high offset wheels (deeeep dish) your wheel and tire combination will not come in contact with the splitter corners. A bunch of these are installed on Goblins with no issues. Just write the check already!!!

SACTX was the original inventor, but his was just a flat splitter. I added the bends and such. SACTX is running 315’s all around on his goblin, if that helps any.

but somewhat serious. If you have to clip off an end, then go for it. No one has had an issue yet, that I know of and there’s about 30 or more out there now. All of these cars are exactly the same and completely different at the same time, so anything can happen.
