Justin Reed Racing DF Goblin

Just hurt feelings by the looks of it right?
I have to say Justin is fast wherever he goes and if your racing and never bend one your not trying hard enough lol.
Hope all is well Justin. Not sure if you need anything DF doesn’t have stock on but if so just reach out. Have a complete front end in parts if you need something to get put back together in short order. I could ups it tomorrow.
Also as DS mentioned always curious to hear what may have caused it especially if it was a part that one of us could potentially break as well. If it was poor judgement I already have enough of that for all of us.

That wreck was over 3 weeks ago. Justin had his car fixed in less than a week. He even had time to ship me the full floating brakes that week.

Glad it was just a simple brush with a guard rail. Kind of looks like he lost steering altogether...

Latest dyno session uncovered more mid range gains with the Dyemond Fab intake manifold, water to air intercooler, and ethanol one S fuel. 555whp/549wtq with a book shelf power curve.
First graph is from last year with Saab 9-3 intake manifold and air to air vs dyemond fab intake manifold with water to air. Both 31-32psiView attachment 46617
second photo is from 25psi wastegate to 32 psi full boost View attachment 46618
The new setup comes into boost faster and makes more power down low.
@Justinreed7 Hey man, I was listening to a podcast (here) with the owner of Xona about all things turbo and see you went with a XR 4951S X2C. Your snips above are showing ~30psi full boost (3.0 pressure ratio) and pushing +55lbs/min. When you look at the maps for this turbo it looks like you're outside the efficiency range pretty considerably.

Is there a reason you went with this turbo over something like the XR 6557S X2C, which seems like it would fit the boost ramp and end goal into the efficiency range?

Also, do you mind sharing who tuned your vehicle?

The decision to run the 4951 was pure response and not peak hp efficiency. Every hillclimb except giants Despair has been run below 25psi for traction issues. The dragon was actually run on 18psi. This setup is strictly a hillclimb setup and would not fair very well at this power level for long sessions due to being out of its range and creating heat. For Giants Despair the XR65 would make sense, but would lack the response needed at the other 4 hillclimbs I attend.
