New Item - Tubular Subframe and Rear Suspension for Manual Goblins

They also make the front and rear mounts horizontal, which fixes the backwards "anti" geometry (squat, lift) from the FWD suspension setup.
I did a full analysis of the "stock" suspension here if you want to read more about it.

For those of you who have/are swapping to an F40, you may need to fabricate a front transmission mount. It would be best to check for clearance and make necessary mods before powder coating.
Any movement on making a full tubular subframe kit for the F40? I don't know that I could fabricate a front transmission mount on my own, I can't be the only one.

I wouldn't expect DF to spend any time on this. How many F40 conversions have there been?

But making a transmission mount is easy enough.

Did you order the F40 frame mod? Need this or some driver's side frame tube massaging (and side transmission mount modification) to get the F40 to fit. Also know the driver's side axle is shorter than the passenger's side axle when installing the F40.

But I believe the tube subframe will fit all transmissions - thought I saw someone who already installed a F40 with new subframe. I'm searching for this but can't locate it quickly. But from Lonny's information, it's just the front transmission mount that would need modification.

I designed and built my own tube subframe, not unlike the DF tube subframe, but I reused the F35 front and rear transmission mounts by altering the mount brackets. They had to be cut down, rewelded, and some new bolt holes drilled. Since I don't have the DF subframe I can't provide instructions how to make the modification. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.

Lolz, this guy.
Its a no-go there. We are a VAST minority. We're talking decimals of a percentage. Gtstorey is right, no time will be spent.
DF sent @RobC76 one with two mounts and he had to cut off the front mount and they sent me one without a front mount (thankfully ends up being less work). So, maybe there was a glimmer at one point.

@Gtstorey 6 F40 cars, maybe? Finished or moving might half of that from what I've seen on the forums at least.

Thanks for the heads up! Yep, went with the F40 option in my kit #515 (picked it up Wednesday). My buddy's a welding whiz and says "nothing is impossible" so we're gonna make it work!
Any tips on that front mount mod would be awesome. And if you find that post about the F40 and new subframe, send it my way! Thank you for your expertise.

Got all my pieces to weld my front mount up and onto the subframe but you know how winter goes. Just gotta wait until the weather gets better.

Whoa, I had no idea 6-speed Goblins were that rare! I just picked up my kit (#515) on Wednesday, and I'm simultaneously overwhelmed and excited to get started. The 5-speed in my 2008 Cobalt SS/TC pops out of gears constantly and I have to double clutch to get it into gear in the first place, so its about ready to give up the ghost. More accurately its a hot mess on the way to being complete trash. From what I've read, those 5-speeds are notorious for weak synchros and failing bearings, so while a rebuild is possible, I didn't feel it was the best option for me. Plus, who doesn't want to one more gear to row?
So I made a trip up to Detroit and snagged a NOS F40. (Yes, I realize this is probably going to be a money pit, but it'll be worth it!)
Thanks for the info on the front mount delete... I'll make sure and ask for that when I make my order for the tubular subframe. If you have any other info or could direct me to any blog posts about the tubular subframe F40 swap mods/fab please send me a link.
Wish me luck, I might need it!
