Spent over 5 hours on track with Chin Track Days Preheat Before Petit. I beat the daylights out of the car and it took it all without missing a beat making 18psi on the turbo and wrapping the OEM boost gauge. I’d guess the engine is seeing at least mid-20psi. It was uncrowded enough that I really got to work on braking and turn-in points and build some consistency. The highlight of my on-track experience was coming through the esses with clear mirrors and then being surprised by an MX5 cup car on my bumper at T6. I let him by at the exit of T7 and tucked right in behind his bumper and stuck there until the braking point of 10a. He was gone by the time we got under the bridge, it was incredible. I don’t have video of that session but I do have some of the others which I’ll post when I’m home.
Camped on Lake Lanier on Sunday and Monday nights and then back to Road Atlanta on Tuesday where we’ve been since, getting ready for the big race tomorrow. Sneak peek below of my new headlights that I installed in the camper Monday night.
