DF to OTTP Shift Linkage Adapter (STL File)

I'm editing my first message to post the solution I modeled up for this, but I suggest you weld it if you can.

--> Thingiverse File <--

I modeled an adapter that takes the 3/4x16 SAE OTTP threads and mates them to the DF supplied M6x1.0 left hand threaded rod.
You need a decent high-res 3D printer to make these small threads work, I printed at .05mm and it took 1h 50m to print one.

The female threads are very snug and they need to be to keep it from ripping out, I modeled in some offset to help but I also wanted it to be very tight. It helps to clamp the OTTP adapter in a vice and use a vice grip wrench to tighten it in all the way. Mine looks very solid and it isn't going anywhere.

I followed another member and welded the stock ends onto the DF supplied rods to use the OTTP mounts. The proper size rod ends would be the best way to go.

I agree, but this is for people who don't have a welder. It's fairly sturdy and it's not like this part takes substantial abuse.
