There haven't been a lot of new builds coming in lately (maybe the last 6 months?). I wonder if sales have slipped, or if they use facebook for issues.

The Goblin market has saturated. Looking at this forum, new builds have slowed to a crawl.
The Goblin wildfire is just about down to a slow smolder, it would appear...

My interest in changing my car has waned and is all but gone now. I still love driving it but changing it, not so much. So, I guess there's just not much to post for me.

In my opinion, a greater proportion of builds are being done off the forum. I feel like there's more posts on the Facebook group now with folks asking basic questions that have been asked and answered on the forums.

I have fewer things I want to do to my build at this point, and a higher priority on driving it while it's nice out (even 90° and 90% humidity). I have a few small projects planned for this winter. Thus, less posting from me.

I also tend to post less when there's a certain proportion of active conversations with advice being given as factual or sourced in experience that's neither.

Im receiving my front brake kit today and rear parking brake kit next week so updates will follow. my build has been pretty sedentary waiting on parts from DF but should have everything soon!

I was thinking the same thing yesterday about no activity. Since I started my build I haven't seen it stagnant.

I’ll be getting back on the wife’s goblin real soon. I had to take a break to do my real job and make some money. I received the tubular subframe earlier this week and hopefully the remaining parts for stages 2 and 3 will be shipped out soon.

New baby here, 11 weeks old. I'm posting what I get done between here and instagram/youtube, but people want higher quality content and not just build steps on those platforms. Just haven't had a lot of time, doing small things between posts.

I’m sure sales are way down. Trying to find a good doner at a reasonable price is difficult now. Toss in everything is up in price and expendable income is much lower now, toys take a back burner. Also, V2 should be out soon, so some are going to wait on that, instead of building the origional.

I'm partial to LSJ's (obviously) but there's two SS/SC's within 100 miles of me for sale on fb marketplace that I wouldn't hesitate to buy if I were to build another Goblin. I think I could make money off of the post-teardown partout on them as I did the donor I actually used. If I open the radius up to 250 miles, there's a couple more LSJ's, two LNF's, and another handful of 2.2 and 2.4 donors that would work great.

They made over a million Cobalts. I really don't think good quality and good priced donors are getting any harder to find.

I dont look near as much as I use to, but when I do glance at them, it’s usually ragged out base models or over priced ss’s. I’m sure that’s regional too. It all depends.

This is mostly what I see whenever I look. 19 out of 20 Cobalts I find, I'd never even consider as a donor. But, there are still plenty of base LS's out there that can be built with aftermarket parts.

For me it’s a few things. Harness won’t be back for a month still. Engine needs parts I don’t currently have the budget for. Next thing I need is some alumibrite to clean up the engine and I can’t budget the $38 for a bottle.
On top of that I got a bunch of things going on for the summer. With in the next four weeks I’m gonna travel to Ohio twice and then a convention in VA. So that’s time and money.
I am hoping to work on it this weekend cause there are still things I can work on.
