Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone that has an open LNF head with the cams/cam caps in could possibly give me a dimension... This dimension may be virtually the same or close for all ecotec engines but not sure... Don't need down to tenths of an inch or anything but +/- ~0.5mm would be sufficient.
I'm looking for the highest point (cam cap bolt heads I'm pretty sure) from the valve cover sealing surface of the head. I'm doing some valve cover work and wanted to determine what kind of clearance I have to work with. A bonus dimension would be the approximate dimension of a cam lobe at it's highest point with respect to one of the cam cap bolts.
