V1 A/C intercooler

Has anybody seen an air conditioner that cools a water to air intercooler in a car? I know tractors today do it. Would a regular water to air intercooler withstand the pressure of the a/c system?

High side pressures (compressed gas) can operate up to 350psi. Highly doubt a regular water to air intercooler will hold that kind of pressures.

But the evaporator (in this case the intercooler) is on the low pressure side.

The low pressure side typically runs 50-60psi, still on the high side for a bar and plate intercooler.

Per the website:

"In 99.99% of applications we delete the [liquid-to-air] heat exchanger. The reason we delete the heat exchanger is because the intercooler fluid is so much colder than the ambient air temp that heat exchanger becomes a heater not a cooler. The only reason to retain the heat exchanger is if circuit racing the car."

Sounds (basically) like the hot liquid that departs from the intercooler goes through, and relies solely upon, their gadget for cooling before it traverses directly back into the intercooler again. (With, of course, a pump somewhere in the loop.)
