V1 Ball joint bushing

Hey guys need some advice. Having my LCA bushings pressed out and replaced with solid bushings, my question is with the ball joint. While the bushings are out I'm going to get the arms powder coated and with the pinned ball joint am I able to remove the ball joint boot/bushing to have the powder done or do I have to have the ball joint rivets cut off.

I don't think I would powder coat with it on, unless it has a grease fitting. The temps will tend to liquify the grease and depending on how it hung may run out or damage your coating. And getting it re-greased without a fitting won't work very well.

Which bushing?
Actually, I think both the front and rear are both available in poly but the typical replacement for the rear is the MOOG K201285. The other option is the high dollar OTTP bushings available front and rear. I used the OTTP on the Front and the MOOG on the rear.

You really need to add your donor to your signature. If you have an LNF, the only available source for the Ball Joints in OTTP since the LNF has a different size stud. Other places list them, but 99.9% of the time they will be the wrong size.

Drill out the rivets, and replace with a new bolt in ball joint. I had my LCAs powdered recently, and went with new OTTP bushings and a Mevotech TTX serviceable ball joint. Was a bit of work, but worth it.

My donor was a LSJ car, so had the smaller ball joints. If your donor was a LNF, you have to find the bigger ball joint and I think OTTP is the only one that makes those.

It is an LNF, I was talking about if the ball joint bushing is replaceable. I did pickup the zzp solid bushings for the trailing and OTTP leading bushings.
Thanks for the replys guys.
