V1 Button panel wiring (late model)

I'm trying to wrap up my front end wiring and am at the point of connecting up the button panel. I have the white, tan, black, gray, 2 pink, and a green/white wire for my button panel off the main harness.

I have 2 pink wires, 1 is tied in a not with a green/white wire. I assume the grn/wht is the "Return" button, is this correct?

Then which pink is the "info" and which is the ignition voltage "cruise on/off"?

Finally, what is the red with white stripe wire that we coiled up and strapped to the harness (3:36 in Part 11 video)?

Thanks in advance!

I read through that and still am not sure what to do.

What are the pink and green/white wires for that we tied together along with the other button wires? If I can figure that out maybe it will all make sense.

Early models use two separate wires for info and return. A pink and a green. If you touch one to ground it scrolls through the info screens. If you touch the other to ground it resets info to zero.
The other pink wire is positive power that comes on with the key.

Late models use a single green/white striped wire with resistors to do both info and return.

Based on the diagrams, if I'm not concerned about having cruise control I don't need the pink wires at all, correct?

I'm still trying to figure out what the thicker red/wht wire is for that we coiled up and strapped to the harness near all the dash stuff. Does anyone know what this is for?

Thanks everyone for all the help!

I'm such a dummy. I have an 06 "early" model not a "late" model...not sure why I get tripped up on that. Anyway, that being said I belive based on what Lonny said the pink and grn/wht wires tied together must be the info and return and the other pink is the key on power.

As far as the red/white wire it was the same one that is with a purple wire for late models. Has anyone with an early model used this for anything? I already have both fans powered, steering powered, and all other plugs completed. Other than an extra accessory power I can't think of what else it could be.
