did you wire the resistor across the positive and ground for each light? what size resistor did you use?

I used (1) 50 watt / 6 ohm per corner.

so your original rear turn signal wires are not connected to anything? you could add resistors between + and ground on those and test it. all 4 corners need a resistance the wattage of the resistor shouldn't matter, that is just the max power rating before it melts.
