Anyone know where to get replacement heater hose to run through the frame? I’m re-pulling my hoses and the stuff from Advanced Auto is very stiff, the DF supplied hose is very pliable. The auto parts stuff broke halfway in the frame.

Give DF a call to ask. They may sell you the replacement hose or direct you to the manufacturer.

I'm going to run my coolant directly through the frame tubes so I won't be using the hose that came with my kit. Contact me if you can't get it conveniently some where else and we'll work something out.

It probably has a brand/part number on the hose if pulling it in and out didn’t remove it.

I looked all over the old hose, mine has no markings or p/n on it. I tried calling Friday, I give DF a ring Monday again.

Don’t know for sure, but I would guess it’s Gates bulk hose. Gates has bought just about every hose/rubber company out there.

Red stripe hose. 1" Gates 3270 Safety Stripe heater hose. warm it up in a box with a heater, or put it out in the sun, pull it thru the frame.

Side panels

How do the side panels mount? I found one tab that I'm guessing is for the panel but I don't see any pre-drilled holes in the frame anywhere.

For anyone wanting to know...My heater hose from DF is Gates 3270 Safety Stripe Heater Hose 1" 125.4mm. As best I can tell, the going price is about $4/foot. There is a surplus seller on Ebay with a 50' piece with a buy-it-now price of $88.88/free shipping. Robinjo, you may want to consider that. You'll have plenty left over to sell to someone else later.

Sure sounded like you were offering up the unused frame hose in your kit, since you're using the frame tube instead of hose, in your previous posting to this thread??? That would be the Goblin family thing to do, offering up parts we don't need or use to our fellow builders.

To clarify; If my hose is your (Robinjo) best option, contact me with your address and I'll send it out. If any of that hose is used elsewhere besides the lower tubes, I'll need to know how much to cut off before I send it. I'm looking to get my shipping cost covered plus maybe a little extra. And yes, I prefer to keep it until my car is done, just in case...

Tremendous, just ordered this hose. That’s much better than 100ft. However, at my current rate of heater hose usage I may need an abundance of it.

Finally got it pulled. A combination of leaving the hose in the sun and better zip tirs did the trick. That and liberal amounts of silicone spray.
