Reducing coolant hose

Does anyone see an immediate problem with going from a 1" (inner diameter) to a 3/4" inner diameter hose to run through the frame? I have 3/4" hose available at local shop and I'll have to order 1".

I've attached images below so you can laugh at me

I would be a little leery of going smaller. We have already running a lot more resistance (for fluid flow it’s actually called head loss”) than what the pump is designed for. There is quite a bit of difference in the cross section of 1” id and 3/4” id. At some point the coolant will start moving a lot slower.
With that said, the Goblin doesn’t seem to have any problem staying cool and you might be okay with 3/4”. And you won’t have to worry as much about a burr from the hole damaging the hose,

Lol... if it makes you feel better, last month I drilled into our oil cooler mounting a splitter, and a team mate drilled into a fuel line mounting a 6 point harness.

As mentioned above the reduction in cross section from 1" to 3/4" is about half. I'd do that for a roadside repair but if your not in need I'd order the correct hose.

Josh knows I'm all about fessing up to my stupid mistakes,(and Buddy I've made plenty!) in hopes of smoothing the road for the next guy. My ego takes a beating, BUT if just one of my new builder friends reads my moment of disgrace and is saved a similar fate, I can stand the embarrassment. I mean, really; Take My first Wife......... Please!(Cue: Rim Shot.) At least you didn't drill into your own finger tip with a 3/32" bit to rivet/patch a cracking fender. Keep On Dreamin' Y'all!
