How far is too far without a harness.

So I'm in a pickle... we don't have the wiring harness back yet and won't for about 2 weeks. (Thank you Lonny for the help!) However we are at the point where the wire harness needs to be installed according to the videos. Everything else seems like I can work the harness around it after the fact. I kinda wanna install the engine today but don't know if I have the room to send the wire harness through the tunnel if I do. Has anyone done the harness after the engine install?

You can put the motor in without the harness installed. The harness get pulled up and around the motor between the gas tank and the transmission, after the motor is installed. The fuse box mounts on top of the drivers side motor mount.

You can build the entire front end as well.

Kind of at the same place myself, but mine is self imposed,

Awesome! Then I guess the engine goes in tonight! Thanks a ton.

But to reiterate what those have said, you don't have to have the harness installed prior to anything but the tunnel cap. It's a lil bit of a fishing game to get it around the subframe and fuel tank and engine, but I've done it while working on mine.

I also did the clutch line after having the engine and everything installed, that was a different story.... doable, but a PITA.

Yah dude I did the clutch line as soon as someone mentioned it to me. Thank God because even with everything out of the way it still requires a bit of massaging. Goals for tonight are mount the engine and the front suspension. We shall see! Dude post more pics of your car. I wanna see it.

My daughter's 2nd birthday is tomorrow, wife's asked me to clear the garage out if it rains so we can have an outdoor but under cover birthday party for her in the garage on Saturday. I'll get some pics with it while I work on that on Friday. Not much has changed since my last photoshoot because I've focused on getting it idling.

I want pics of your garage, that place looks fancy. Is it a detached garage or something? It looks like I could eat off it. An in garage lift is something I'd like to have put in mine in the next few years.

Nice happy bday to her! I'll snap some garage pics later on. It is a detached garage and its Air Conditioned and heated which i LOVE.
