If I buy a 50% partial build then what will I need to do to complete the kit and have it driving on the road, I was thinking of having the 75% build but when I realized the 50% DIDNT have many steps to compete the car I was curious if it was just how the website worded it or not. Can someone tell me a list of exactly what I get in the 50% build and ALL the steps I need to take to complete it from that point, I feel like the website should explain it better and put pictures.

50% partial build covers the price of the donor, stripping the parts, donor part preparation, powder coating, installing the engine and getting it running.

You would still have to install the front and rear suspension, the steering, adjust the alignment, install and bleed the brakes, connect the shifter, along with install whatever accessories/body panels you want on ther.

Sorry for not having the partial builds better explained on the site. It is a pretty new program for us. I assume you've checked out the partial builds page: http://dfkitcar.com/partial.php

The easiest way to explain the 50% build is to compare it to our instructional videos. The 50% build gets your kit up to the end of video #22:

We would install the engine and get it running. You'd have to assemble the front and rear suspension, steering, brakes (and bleed them), gear selector/shifter. Then you'd install your tires & wheels, seats, belts/harnesses and stage 3 items like lights, body panels, etc.

In the 75% kit we assemble the suspension, steering, brakes and shifter. You install the tires, seats, harnesses and stage 3 items. The best example of this is in the Off the Ranch videos:

He's already got his tires and wheels installed in the video but the rest of the car is as we delivered it.

How many stage 2 videos do you think there will be?

I'm estimating 6-7 stage 2 videos but I won't really know until I work through them. Sometimes it makes sense to squeeze some things together into one video and at other times it makes sense to split them. It depends on the content and length of the video.

Here's what I'm thinking right now:
  1. Front suspension
  2. Cleaning, painting brake calipers, installing front brakes
  3. Brake res relocation, steering column
  4. Shifter installation (auto and manual)
  5. Rear suspension and rear brakes
  6. Intake, exhaust and finishing up
  7. Bonus: SS/SC and SS/TC extras, doing a basic alignment at home, bleeding the brakes

Yes the video are great with out them it would have took me at least 3 more days in the stripping of my donor i would have liked a little more break down for the SS/TC but not a big deal it's just a little different

We have two TC donors to take apart so maybe we can get some extra footage. No guarantees though. We fly through stuff so quick sometimes that we forget to take photos and record video.
